Here is the first picture of Boston WITHOUT his nasal cannula!! Stitches are GONE!!
Boston is 2 pounds 15.6 ounces - he is SO close to three pounds!! He is now taking 28 mls of milk which is just under an ounce (30 mls = 1 ounce)
He also got his nasal cannula removed today which means that he is breathing room air just like we do.....all on his own! We also tried a bottle feed today - it did not go all that well but we tried and that is the important thing. Since he is a little guy it will take a little while for him to get the hang of how to breathe, suck, and swallow. Once he gets that under control a bit they will let me try nursing him.
One final update...they JUST came in and took out his stitches from his bowel surgery! YAY!!
Lots of good things happening today - truly a blessing!

ReplyDeleteOh Kelly that is such awesome news!! What a strong man you have there!!!
ReplyDeleteHis spot from his surgery looks fabulous, probably won't even see a scar when he is bigger. He is growing, man is he cute. I am glad you had a great day filled with good things happening today.
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Boston! This boy will soon need a haircut! The suture line looks really good. He is a fighter and a fast healer. Being the recipient of all that love and nurture and prayer is spurring him on!
ReplyDeleteLove to all from Grandpa Butler
