Two month check up

We were in Fort Wayne for Boston's 2 month check up today. He is 5 pounds 8 ounces. They use a special Down Syndrome growth chart and since he is also a preemie he is still a little peanut - 5% in weight and 10% in height and 20% in head size in comparison with other DS kiddos.
They still want to do a sweat chloride test on him to rule out all forms of Cystic Fibrosis - thought I was done worrying about that one but I guess not. They scheduled that for Dec. 16th so please keep him in your prayers that those test results come back negative!
Over the next three weeks we will follow up with his his heart doc, lung doc, geneticist, eye doctor, and get his next RSV shot. We have our early intervention meeting on Thursday to start him up with PT, OT, and Speech - he also failed his hearing test in both ears so we will also need to repeat that.......so as you can tell December will be a busy month for our little guy!

  3. Hey Kelly and Charlie, If you are heading to Indy for any of these visits let me know. I would love to be an extra set of hands, ears or their just for support. There is a lot for you to do, but take it one day at a time.

I remember vividly taking Owen to all the same docs the first few years the way you are taking Boston - it seems like you live at the doctors offices. In time there will be less visits and more time home, but right now its just a lot.

We are praying for you all! Please call DON'T hesitate. I know my way around St. V's and Riley pretty well ;) 317 272 0532

    Hugs,
    Kelly and boys
