Today was the day I have been waiting for! I FINALLY got to hold Boston for the first time. He turned a week old today and we got to cuddle for over two hours. It was the most amazing feeling in the world! No mommy should ever have to go seven days without holding her child....
It is called Kangaroo Care, they place him right against my skin and cover us both with blankets and we snuggle! It has been proven that this type of care helps calm the babies, lowers their heart rate and over all calms and gives them strength. (I know it did all those things for me today!!) What an amazing gift from God this little boy is!

ReplyDeleteKelly we had the computer out at the fire last night and The fifers, Tanners and all the neighbors were looking at BOstons blog. Everyone was so touched. They all said the picture with his foot in your hand looks professional and one you will obviously cherish for the rest of your life.THey said he was so cute.And now they could see who they were praying for.
