The Butler boys....both sound asleep. I love these guys so much!! Bummer to see all the wires back on him!
The wrap on his arm is for the IV - he is getting his nutrients this way for the next 10 days.
Boston hit FOUR POUNDS today and his heart echo came back looking pretty good too!!
Charlie and I both got to hold our little guy. It was exactly what we both needed. It has been such a rough few days for us and getting our hands on Boston for some love was just what the doctor ordered....for all of us!

  1. So glad that you both got to hold little Boston today. I'm sure it gave you a little reassurance. He is sooooo handsome. Hope you all continue to get great news in the weeks to come. Thoughts and prayers are with you all still.

  8. OMG! In the second pic this is Charlie's expression from the age of 5 through 15: proud of something he's doing or singing "All is Well" in front of 1,000 in the audience for 7 performances at Christmas time. How can Boston go wrong with that example?

  12. First and foremost, your Boston is a beautiful ,beautiful boy.And a tiny but mighty fighter.I had someone come to my site or rather my little love Zoey's site and directed me here. She thought I might have some words of wisdom, some encouragement, something, during this difficult time,to offer you.I was humbled by the request and hope that I don't disappoint. In my reading of your previous posts, something is starkly and abundantly clear ... you have your faith and that,in and of itself will truly make all the difference. Our little Zoey came to us with a host of medical issues, the least in many ways,Down syndrome. Her road has been so much harder then my heart has been able to handle in many moments ,however, her indomitable will to survive has seen her over each hurdle and made us,as a family stronger and more united then we could have ever, ever imagined. There is a little love we have watched, born at 1lb 11oz, thrive and grow over the last several months. She too was handed more then her fair share but she too has risen to show everyone who loves her,the way.Her name is Feisty Kaelyn and we have a button on our site if you want to see another extraordinary little one.As I told her mom,in an email,in response to her haven stumbled upon Zoey during her pregnancy, these children, those born with and "extra something",in all that I have seen in the course of the last few years,ARE THE STRONGEST MOST RESILIENT CHILDREN ... EVER.Please find hope in that and you only have to look as far as your little miracle to see that in the end, your faith and his fighting spirit, will help you all find your way. So,there it is.For what it was worth.I will check in often and say a prayer for all of you as you navigate this new terrain.I have some great quotes on my side bar that have seen us through many dark moments. Many were hung above Zoey's hospital bed during those times.

If you do pop by,I feel as if I must warn you.The first post you come to is a sad one but one having absolutely nothing to do with Down syndrome.Sometimes,I scare people off I think.some see the worst case scenario instead of what I so want them to see which ... NEVER,EVER GIVE UP HOPE.
